Job Location: Basic Solutions Corporation, 46724 Fremont Blvd, Fremont, CA 94538.
Job Duties:
● Work with vendors or internal partners to set-up and design new test equipment in the lab & drive until readiness.
● Manage equipment calibration and maintenance, including upgrading the software & hardware.
● Manage and operate thermal chambers & various mechanical precision fixtures.
● Write equipment operating manuals and maintenance procedures.
● Perform tests and generate raw data, including early data review for accuracy and process the data, as needed.
● Prepare test samples and debug issues in the Lab & resolve them, perform housekeeping, and organize accessories.
● Work on the development of new technology for VR systems including:
Projection technology.
Light modulation (standard lenses, Fresnel lenses, Meta-lens, thin films).
Polarization control technology (Beam splitters, mirrors, and birefringence). Simulation for optical systems.
Optical filtering (Thin films, filters, diffusers, polarizers, color filters, selective mirrors).
Waveguides and prism technology.
● Supervise the work on Characterization of optical components, including:
Roughness or geometry profile of optical elements including lenses.
Color profile or spectral response of displays, lenses, etc.
Thickness, flatness, and parallelism of optical components.
MTF, PSF, ESF are linked to the optical response of optical elements.
Polarization or spectral response of optical elements.
● Other similar duties as assigned.
Work Time: M-F; 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. 40 hrs/week.
Salary: $133, 390 per annum.
Job Requirements:
Job requires a Master’s degree in Information Science and Technology, Bioengineering, Electrical
and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, or equivalent with 1 year of
experience in the Job offered or any occupation in which the required experience was gained.
Experience must include: designing test equipment; equipment calibration and maintenance;
development of new technology for VR systems (Projection & Polarization control technology,
Light modulation, Simulation for optical systems, Optical filtering) and Characterization of
optical components.
Various worksites: relocation to project-based unanticipated locations within USA possible.
